Leaders have the higher challenge of providing direction by identifying key issues of concern before they become obvious to others.While technical competencies and skills are important, it is the less obvious aspects leadership like observation skills, judgement and organizational awareness that are more critical in an increasingly complex environment. blindspots.
Through this workshop, school leaders (SLs) will be exposed to various aspects of the Leading from Within Framework ä (LfW) below. The LfW framework will be shared with learning organization tools helping leaders move from taking a judger stance to a learner stance and how leading self creates a reinforcing loop that goes on to impact one’s abilty to lead others, lead inquiry, and lead in curriculum.
About the Facilitator
Mr Manogaran Suppiah has been in the education service for over four decades. He has had an unusual career of teaching in the primary, secondary and pre-university classrooms over a period of 16 years before moving into leadership roles in schools and junior college, including significant periods as a Cluster Superintendent, Founding Director of the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST) and the CEO of SINDA. Trained as a Consultant in Organisational Learning, Mr Mano has been invited to conduct workshops and seminars across the world. He has a special love for professional development and is keen to share his strategies he had deployed in the different organisations and contexts he had served.
