More MOE Kindergartens By The End of 2022

MORE MOE KINDERGARTENS BY THE END OF 2022

The rise in our local population saw the preschool sector working hard to keep up with the growing numbers. Not only is the field of preschool teaching promoted in tertiary institutes, the number of governments funded preschool is being heavily boosted as well.

Many understand the importance of the role that quality preschool education play in children’s holistic development. In a comprehensive educational setting, children will be able to pick up vital skills that they will need for life.

This consciousness of the preschool sector’s significance has led the Singapore government to invest in more preschool centres, specifically the government aided MOE Kindergartens. It is expected that 8 new kindergartens will open 2022, taking the total number of MOE Kindergartens island-wide to 43. Including the new centres, a total of 5,800 placements will be available for children to enrol in.
