Description
The book is designed to help students achieve two key learning outcomes in the English Language syllabus:
• Develop reading readiness and word recognition skills
• Develop writing readiness and handwriting to write accurately and fluently
It identifies three main components of learning that correspond to what is specified in the national curriculum:
1. Handwriting
2. Word Study
3. Reading Aloud
It is the second of two books written for use in tandem with Big Books covered in the Shared Book Approach (SBA) in all primary schools in Singapore. It therefore adheres closely to the scope and sequence that schools are required to follow.
