A BASELESS STIGMA
There are no Neighbourhood Schools, only good schools in neighbourhoods.
This was a phrase echoed by the former education minister, Mr Heng Swee Keat. CPD Singapore Education Services Pte Ltd supports the minister’s views. CPD Singapore believes that it is essential to de-stigmatise neighbourhood schools as inferior.
Same examination
Every school allows students to take the same national examinations to move onto the next phase of their education. Surely, different streams may have a slightly longer route of achieving the same success but it does not deny anyone from reaching the same opportunities. This is a pinnacle of Singapore’s meritocratic education system.
